Togean Islands is one of the jewel of Central Sulawesi. This is a community based ecotourism as well as in conserving the biodiversity. It can be reached from Palu for about 7 hours drive by cars to Ampana via Poso (375 Kms) by bus or chartered vehicle then by daily boat from Ampana to Wakai and Malenge for about 4 hours departs on 10 a.m.

Togean Islands can be reached from Gorontalo city by public boat directly, twice a week. If you come from Rantepao ( Tana Toraja ) in South Sulawesi, Togean Islands can be reached via Mangkutana, Pendolo, Tentena and Poso to Ampana for about 14 hours drive by car.
